Looking for advice as to what I might have done to make the moon less fuzzy.
I shot mine at f8, 1/200 sec, iso 200 came out pretty good
I am thinking this is because your are shooting for the foreground. Set your aperture and ISO for the moon. This will cause foreground to be incredibly underexposed, but you can adjust in post or take this photo and layer the two.
This is gorgeous! Great mood, exposure and foreground - including the moonlight reflecting on the water. IMO the "fuzziness" is simply atmosphere, haze etc.
I have photographed a lot of moons on the horizon and the only sharp ones are when there are zero clouds, dry conditions and more light (shot at sunrise).
A different exposure will present other challenges, as mentioned. This photo is natural-looking and, did I say this already, gorgeous
That could maybe possibly be blooming, where the oversaturated pixels bleed over into neighboring pixels. You'd have to lower the exposure so the moon was not oversaturated, maybe shoot HDR if your camera has that feature, or combine several images in lightroom or Photoshop or similar programs.

If well after sunset, that would likely make the foreground pure black, except for faint moonlight reflections on the water and a visible house light or two. Low angle of moon with landscape is far different from shooting just the moon higher in the sky.

Shoot on a clearer night.
Beautiful shot. The hazy moon gives the scene just the right 'feel'. Exposure is spot on.

I like the fuzziness, it looks like it belongs there, along with the highlighted clouds.
I don't like the brightness of the moon, it looks almost like the sun. I would lower the exposure of the moon a tad. You could do that in post, or when taking the photo, bracketing, or raw, or maybe HDR. If it were my photo, I'd load it in Affinity, use the developer tool, paint the moon with the overlay brush and adjust the moon until I was happy, which wouldn't take much, the picture is already fantastic.
Also, I notice some debris in the sky when in full screen. I might remove that as well.
I think it an awesome shot. I love the way the moon light reflects off the water. This would be a great shot at sun rise too. My only tweak I might make in post processing is to lighten it a touch. Not much I too think that the way it is shot is beautiful.
Just my thoughts, but to me it looks like the focus point was more on the foreground than the background. For some reason I cannot view the exif data of your photo (maybe lack of know how) but maybe focusing a little deeper into the scene and a smaller aperture with a longer exposure would have done some to improve the overall DOF.
I do like the photo. I see it as well composed and exposed. I also like the subject matter. Again the above critique is just my humble opinion.
Well I truely appr your advice and humble opinion. This is just one of those shots I have been chasing on my own and getting frustrated. So any advice, critique, or comments are very welcome. I'm just a hobbyists and truely love photography. For me when I get my head in the camera all my troubles and worries seem to fade away.
Thanks all for your help.
I'd take a properly exposed picture of the moon higher in the sky, then cut and paste it into this image and see what it looks like. If it matches the image in your minds eye, keep it. If not, everyone has a great idea that won't work. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
There has been something gained here. I've received a lot of good advice and ideas. All in all I've learned from all of you. Thank you for all your time and knowledge. It is truely appreciated.
