Parked on my back deck in St. Augustine, Fl. Can you guess the name of this duck? It’s the ugliest duckling I’ve ever seen. I’m still looking for the ugly hedgehog.

Thanks for hosting, Lesley. It's fog and drizzly here this AM and heading out for some pix. Shall return.

Was wondering what you had up your sleeve on this one. Very good start. I’ll have to work on this one.

Oh man‼️ You need a longer lens for social distancing😳‼️
Super shots though, and I guess no harm came to you since we’re getting to see them here😎
👏👏👍👍👍

Now that's certainly not too good an idea!!
Nice shots, however!

That’s a cross breed, no telling what was in the duck pond that day. Muscovy for sure, maybe some mallard, and who knows what else🥴🥴😂👍👍

That's what I found, too, Larry!
Foggy and light rain intermittent ! Will see what catches my eye when I get dressed....
Okay I drive to one of my favourite river locations this morning and sat in my cat at "The Rocks" as it is locally known and took pictures while sitting in my car. First I took a couple or so scenic shots and then I spied a few pigeons there, and most excitingly there was a white pigeon among the group! At that location a highway bridge crosses the river there, and when cars crossed over upon the bridge. the noise excited the pigeons into flight.
the Rocks
the low river level exposes much of rocky riverbed there
a bridge crosses the river there

many pigeons in flight

a white pigeon with open wings and reflection

I definitely didn't need the 200-500mm lens that I started with! One bear was as close as 8 yards.
Very exciting!!

Sounds like an interesting challenge. I will sit out on my porch soon and see what I can catch.
