Two very different images of the same subject on Friday. The larger was obviously taken during a break in the clouds. Shows some of the variety we can achieve in this art form.

I’m on vacation without LR, so these are jpegs with only rudimentary processing.

Enjoy.

The first looks like what I saw before cataract surgeries (lol). The second is excellent.

Rig was a D500, a 300 f4 PF and a TC-14 III. Image is cropped, of course.

I like the first one. The second looks like the other 4,875,000 pictures of the moon.

Both are great shots. The first evokes more emotion IMHO. Thanx for sharing.

I have not taken that many pictures of the moon. Are you saying that other people have taken pictures of the moon, too?

Clouds and moon shot resonated with me. Reminded my of the second line of one of my favorite poems, The Highwayman, by Alfred Noyes:

"The moon was a ghostly galleon tossed upon the cloudy seas"
