Seems to me that it is the EPA who is telling you if you can or can not push that dirt of yours. Was it not the EPA that classified Farm Dust as an Industrial pollutant? Was it not the AG Dept. who tried to stop family farms last year from allowing their children to work their farms, to require heavy equipment licenses and log books for farm equipment.... Don't think that it is just lobbyist who are making your life harder, as much influence as money may have in DC, the Greenie Meanies are coming for you and they will not listen to reason or give a crap if they leave you with the ability to feed your family or not.

You don't need more than 90 seconds to fully understand that this guy is a douche.

What was that extremely intelligent response you had a few days ago?? OH yes, "It takes one to know one."

You may need to point me in the direction towards the specific bill you are speaking of... I was talking about what were efforts last year on behalf of both the departments of Labor and Agriculture to restrict the use of family labor on the farm as well as the reclassification of farm equipment as heavy vehicles making it necessary for anyone who operates them, even family members, to obtain special licensing... If you truly are a dirt pusher then you know the impact this would have on family farming operations.

It does seem that I was somewhat misinformed, but even so, Our family owned a cattle ranch and when the time came we all pitched in, nieces, nephews, grand children.... but this would not have been allowed under the proposed rules from the Labor department.. As it only exempted the children of the "sole owner so if the farm is family owned it is not exempted, if it is in trust for tax purposes, it is not exempted, if it is grandaddy's farm, it is not exempted... and you can't have your kids help out on their uncles's farm... the fact is is that farmers share the burden of each other's farms so that they do not have to hire outside labor that they can not afford, they will take turns working each others farms trading out labor...

So as much as I may have been misinformed, the bill was not as innocent as a city slicker would perceive it to be.

Quote:

"Labor Department’s original proposed language: Application of the parental exemption in agriculture is limited to the employment of children exclusively by their parents or person(s) standing in place thereof on a farm owned or operated by the parent(s). Only the sole owner or operator of a farm is in a position to regulate the duties of his or her child and provide guidance."

Oblame-O STAY OFF THE FARM

You forget, if the farmers don't ship their food to the cities , you starve!

Families have been running farms since the beginning of time, Leave them alone!

Why doesn't Oblame-O go after the pimps in Chicago and the rest of the country, they do so much more damage.

Why I would not dare to interfere in US politics I can say as an ally of the US we would feel more comfortable with Romney. We have the impression, true or false, that Obama does not much care for the UK perhaps due to his Keynan background.

Ugh??? US and Great Britian have excellent relations. Never heard or read that the President doesn't care for GB. I do know for a fact that Romney went to England for the Olympics and insulted the country. And I heard the PM's response and the mayor's response and we saw the headlines in GB's newspapers. With ambassadors like Romney we don't need enemies.
Honestly you should clarify what you meant by "due to his Kenyan background". He's an an American born and raised in this country. Every American can trace their parent's grandparents, great-prandparents etc roots to another country (except for native Americans). I interpret your comment as racist.

That's because you are a racist jerk like BO and you justify and purify yourself with calling those you disagree with as racist!
