Hi My name is Bill (Lawmanb2). I am a retired police officer. I did crime scene work when I was working for about 6 years and became enthralled with photography. My daughter, who passed away 2 years ago left me a Nikon D3300, of which I will cherish forever. She used it in her real estate dealings and I am just now getting to know it. My go to camera as of late has been a Canon point and shoot which comes in handy when I am on road trips. Because of my prior experience I have made good use of it. But now I want to run with the big dogs so I will be monitoring this forum on a regular basis. Just from what I read so far I know I am in good company.

Welcome Bill and very sorry for your loss. Get to know everything about your D3300 before setting any new direction. It is a fine camera and fun to shoot with. I have the D3400 and enjoy it immensely. Many here will give you advice on spending your money. Most of it is good but you have time to decide. One step at a time IMO. Ron
