Mike, these are really good. Enjoyed looking and I can almost hear those seals singing Tom Dooley.

Thank you very very much, I think they were singing Tom Dooley.

Great set Mike
Looks like the "pontoons" are a bit water logged.

Thank you very very much Frank.

Super photos of some interesting piece of Alaska, Mike. At first I thought they'd be bunk houses, but those two story ones look like family dwellings. I wonder how excited the wife was about this. Really like the buoy/seal photo too.

thank you very very much John. The Bunkhouses were build on logs so they can be towed anywhere there is logging to be done.

Really nice photos, Mike. I certainly hope they have a cup of coffee before taking a step out the door!

Great photos! Thanks for posting - I didn't know about them. I have been to the floating fishing villages on the Tonle Sap Lake in Cambodia. They have floating stores, schools, newspapers and even a floating basketball court!

That 1st one is sooo pretty!
The bunk houses are quite interesting, and the settings are (and can be) quite outstanding! Were these near Wrangell/Stikine River?
Enjoyed the 'trio', puttin' on the show!

The last one reminded me of a similar buoy we saw, with several sea lions. A large one wanted on, knocking off 1 or 2 already on board. A bald eagle flew up to check out the ruckus, alighting on top of the buoy.
