Hi,
I am a more-or-less retired health care worker in my 70s, but now just doing consulting paper-work on line. I have had a long-standing interest in photography of all things, but my real passion (apart from my family and friends) is birding - so naturally bird photography has been a particular interest. Currently I use a D500 with a 300 F4-PF-VR and a TCE-2 for most bird photography, and I have a Panasonic mirrorless system and a Nikon D5600 usually with a Sigma 17-70 for most other subjects. I am active in our local photo club, although currently we're not doing as much as usual because of the pandemic.
I live in rural Nova Scotia, Canada - a perfect area for coastal scenery and small town photography, as well as the birds, and a lovely, friendly, interesting safe haven from much of the current badness going on in the world.
Richard
Many years ago I led a bicycle tour around Nova Scotia. A beautiful place. Especially remember Pleasant Bay, Prince Edward Island, the Gaspe, Etc. The people were extraordinarily kind and hospitable towards me and my troop of New York City teenagers. Enjoy the ‘hog’
Welcome to the forum Richard.

What a beautiful photograph, Richard. Welcome from this other retired fellow in his 70s! Back to your photograph; the download is exquisite!
Welcome. I always say if you don't get the eye you don't have a photo. But in this case, if it were mine, I would call it a keeper. This forum is also a friendly, safe haven...most of the time.
Welcome to UHH Richard. Very nice photo.
Welcome to the forum. Thanks for sharing a photo.
Welcome to the forum from another Richard. Looking forward to seeing more of your photos. That first one is great.
