As an Independent, it's my personal opinion that Governor Romney trounced President Obama in every conceivable aspect of last nights debate. Having watched Presidential debates starting with Kennedy - Nixon, I can not think of any candidate that totally commanded and controlled the entire debate the way that Romney did, a very one-sided affair! ;) ;)

He sucks as a president, but I thought he was a good speaker. I guess when one usually has a teleprompter as a crutch it's easier to give the illusion of speaking well. I don't think it was Kerry's coaching, I think he had one too many doobie's prior to the debate. 8-)

I'll give the "debate" to the Gov - 7 to 5, but he was obnoxious and rude. Yeah, and Lehrer was not up to snuff either. The obvious lies and half-truths were left unchallenged. By design?

The debate doesn't make Romney's lies truer. Romney's rudeness is not a qualification for the presidency. The republican agenda will not benefit the middle class. As a woman who wants to be in control of my own body I now could never vote for a republican. Also Lehrer was a reason we stopped watching
the Newshour.

Ok...we're starting to turn a bit but no real honest-to-goodness spin. Let's hear about how it's all part of the "plan" to defeat Romney by feigning ineptitude. We're waiting for some real GYROSCOPIC ACTION!! 8-)

BW,
I was very surprised at how badly Obama performed, why I have no idea. Romney appeared well informed and in command of facts. I look forward to the next debate, the President had better do his homework and look like he is ready to lead or he will be a 1 term president. As it stands now I could not vote for him and doubt I will change my mind.

NP,
Would you care to tell those of us who watched this debate where Romney was obnoxious and rude. Get a grip, he called Obama on the crap he was spewing and would not let him get away with it. Lehrer in my opinion did a great job he let them debate. Care to address Obama's, I will cut the deficit in half, I will bring unemployment to its lowest level ever, please run the bull past ignorant people not ones who pay attention.

Sue,
Please explain how Romney was rude? He conducted himself with more Presidential qualities than the president did. Care to explain how you are not in control of your body because of Republicans. Lehrer did a wonderful job, he let them debate, guess you did not like that since Obama, showed the whole country how inept he is, how ill prepared he is, what a poor leader his is. Now should we start on the terrible burden that the Affordable Health Care Act will be to the majority of the populace? Oh have you read it?

Obama is useless without his teleprompter telling him what to say.
