Another summertime free weekend is here. Learn something new, share it here. Take something new that you’re looking for a place to display, share it here. We all would love to see how you look at things through your lens, and how you might work it in post processing.
In this time of unusual events that have us staying safe in ways we would never have anticipated as required in our country, I decided to self-reflect a little. Turns out that 60 year old look I was looking for….
I grabbed this during Saturday's party - Paul's mom has a lovely yard.

I like it, I like it. And thanks for the kick off - oh, sorry, guess there won't be any football kick offs either.
Still working on pix from our mini trip. Here are a couple to keep you cool - hot here and so humid. Hope to get to some pix from a "sculpture" haven in the woods before the weekend ends. Actually, it looked more like auction finds and rusty car parts cleverly, or not, arranged in the middle of the woods!

Another wonderful way to start off the weekend, Larry!
And what a steady hand you have...I would have botched
that mustache up big time...lol

Pg 1 - That bright blue water would be super inviting
with all the high heat and humidity! You did jump in, right?

Like Pat, I'm still working on about 600 images I captured
on our two week vacation. We spend one week in Colonial
Williamsburg and surrounding area, and then another week
in Duck, NC (Outer Banks.)
Colonial Williamsburg was scheduled to be "open," but when
we arrived, they had moved the date back by two weeks. We
still had a good time but we were really disappointed when we
approached the Governor's Mansion. The local officials decided
the main road needed redone, and they put down macadam. Not
exactly what I'd call "period correct."

This was taken last year; notice the difference?

I'm always surprised by how "narrow" the homes were back then...maybe 12' to 15' deep?

I love big, ole trees....
