Personally, I saw no noticeable difference from a normal full moon and last nights. But evidently the camera caught some reflections that my eyes missed. The night skies were extremely clear, humidity was down around 48 and there was a light wind. I didn’t see the concentric rings until after I tried lightening the shadows and boosting the sharpening. The rest was just deciding which version I liked. As you can see, I couldn’t decide.
Quick edit. The exif info is there if you want the settings.

Scientifically and artistically fascinating use of post processing.

Possibly it was ice crystals at altitude, but the ground temperature was still about 95* F.
The post work just brought up what was there.

Thanks, we do get lucky sometimes.

I ran the file through DXO3 to convert the raw to tiff, using the built in Prime noise remover and putting the clear view slider to 75% and adjusted for shadows, mid tones and highlights, and lighting. I then sent the tiff to Affinity and turned the highlights up, the shadows up, contrast up 25% and adjusted for saturation, sharpening and brightness.
Voila! I see what isn’t seen.
