I'm not crazy about this idea, but was wondering if it might not be a bad idea to put some kind of propeller cage on my Mavic Pro Platinum. I don't plan on flying near people or performing any risky flight practices, but accidents happen.....

Does anyone have experience with cages and this model?

Ok, I have enough experience now to answer my own question. I bought the Mavic propeller guard (the $22 one, not the full cage). Anyway, I've probably had about 60 flights with the MPP, and about 15 flights since I've installed the guards. While landing it from about 150 feet onto my driveway, I forgot about the neighbor's electrical wire that runs over it. The drone descended and came into contact with the wire but just hit the bottom of the guard, instead of possibly losing a propeller to the wire. Simply a non-event since I had the guard on. So, I think I'd recommend them in a tighter area and around trees, buildings, and stuff. It might make the drone a little more susceptible to the wind, but not real bad.

I never used one on my Mavic Pro nor my Mavic 2 Pro. I also have a Mavic Mini that I don’t use the cage on. They add weight and drag while in flight.
