First of all, really nice shot Tommy. Is that a cistern off to the left. Maybe a windmill and a well was there in earlier times. The structure seems large enough for a family, but may have been a bunk house for use during round ups? As you say, we'll never know but I always wish old houses could talk.
Some interesting thoughts there, good sir! A windmill and well would certainly make sense. And the large families that often inhabited these homesteads were large for a reason - it took a small army to make a go of life out on the prairie! A bunkhouse is also a possibility. Thanks for posting!
