We use them every day, we hold them, we watch others use theirs. We make a living with them, use them to caress the ones we love, wave with them, make signs with them so non hearers can understand. We wash them over and over and over again these days. They salute, they applaud, they write, they tell a lot about us.
The following is especially true during these pandemic days:
