Per Bob's suggestion, I added some texture to this doorway. I don't know squat about post processing but I somehow managed to find a texture function. So this is my first attempt at adding texture.

Jason, I posted a reply to your question in your first doorway photo. I did not use a texture function in that example at all. It's mostly done with adjustments to the various settings in ACR. I can probably get more out of this one, as well. But, with your permission.

Bob, ok, so it's not a texture function per se. Instead its adjusting various sliders. Feel free to make adjustments to this photograph as you see fit.

I've attempted to add "texture" per Bob's instructions.

Jason, this one is a bit more difficult due to the predominance of red in the photo. However, you can see a bit more detail in the green doors, as well as some of the brickwork. These adjustments bring out the slightest variation in tones due to the textures of the subject. You did quite well.

Most digital cameras are very sensitive to the color red. Due to that and the small file size, some artifacts showed up in the processed image. A number of UHH members will comment requesting that you check the Store Original box prior to uploading the file and then post that original file.

Thank you for the feedback. I'm just learning how to work with Photoshop, so tips and criticism are certainly welcome. And yes, I will store the original file from now on.

What is the maximum file size that this site will accept?

Jason, I believe it's 20MB. You've got a great attitude and that will take you a long way.

Regarding the maximum file size that can be uploaded to this site, I found that 14MB would not upload. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong?

If anyone has suggestions on how I can upload large, >10MB files, shout out.

Thanks!

Jason, in all honesty, I was winging a wild ass guess. It might be 10. I looked through the help section but could find anything specific, at least in a hurried look.

More of a question about things being centered when doing things like a doorway. I have centered them and had them off center. Just wondering!

I thought centered would make the best composition in this case, but I'm no expert by any means.
