Nice! Very few of us look up when in public and semi-public spaces. As a photographer and retired architect, I find the ceilings and roof structure the most interesting elements of old and new buildings.

Thanks all. Took my $5. Nikon 600AF along hoping to get some frustrated xmas shopper shots. Learned that the auto features of this capable compact aren't as comparable with street as I had hoped. Always on the lookout for patterns and the roof over the food fair obliged.

Ironic how we go out "looking" for a photo opportunity in one genre but find it in another ... good capture.

Thanks trickster. Being a bit of a fan of street, every once in a while I give it a try with limited results. The pocket Nikon' was chosen for its wide 28mm lens but its auto features gave me motion blur when not needed and surprisingly all too many oof frames. Add this to the inevitable misses, and the exercise turned into a film waster. Next time out, something off the shelf that allows me to make the settings.

I use both a Nikon d7000 and a Fuji X100F. I find the Fuji "quicker on the draw" but I still like the Nikon. Like you, I have a lot of throwaways ...
