Be Patient!! Two years ago we had 2 "Kitties in the Christmas Tree"; they were 2 months old. We sprayed the lower limbs of the tree with a natural cat-unfriendly deterrent and left the spray bottle at the base of the tree. They lost interest quickly. Last year, same thing, but they lost interest after one day. This year ?????

Great catch Lori! I had one years ago that jumped into the tree from a window ledge and toppled the whole tree over.

Our new little member of our family is 3 months old and is full of mischief. Being this is her first Christmas she couldn't wait to find out why there was a tree inside.

We only put the tree up yesterday so I don't know why I'm so surprised. Little stinker.

My cats all loved the tree and would just lay under it all day long and occasionally break a few ornaments but I didn't mind as long as they were happy and having a great day.

We always put sacrificial ornaments near the bottom of the tree... Kind of decoys... Just make sure the tree is well supported as they climb to new heights... Beautiful little kitty...

LOVE your capture of your new kitty, Lori!! Will be a great memory as she grows up. We've had 7 kitties - not all at the same time - usually 2 at a time. Our 1st 2 were very young kitties & the 1st Xmas they both climbed the tree but never knocked it over. Since then we have always gone with older rescues (9 months up to 3 years with the latest) none have climbed the tree but LOVE to sleep under it. Sounds like your sweety is all kitty!!

Good idea. Thanks I may just have to tie it to something.

It prevents that "guilty" expression they get when you find the tree on its side. "Gee, Dad, it died."
