Thinking of a new(er) camera

Currently I use two Pentax Kx cameras. Maybe it is a whim, but I have been thinking of going for a K70 with the 18 - 135 mm lens. I am thinking the 24 Mp sensor will give me more resolution in my landscapes and thus a better quality in my photos. I am retired and on a fixed income and would sell one of my Kx cameras with its kit lens and maybe my 35-80 lens. Just wondering if there are any Pentaxians here that will give me an honest and objective opinion about stepping up from the Kx to the K70. TIA

...the K-70 is ranked 5th for landscape photography out of all the Pentax cameras...1. K-645z,
2. K-645D, 3. K-1 II, 4. K-1, 5. K-70...so yes...on a fixed income the K-70 would be a good choice for landscape in the Pentax line...and the Pentax 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 ED AL DC SMC DA WR is the lens to use...

There really is no contest between the KX and the K70. 7 years separate these two cameras, The K70 has a bigger screen, twice as many pixels, and is weather sealed. You worked all your life, now your retired, enjoy the K70.
