Very nice. I was there not long after that exhibit opened. I also live just a few miles from his home in Hyde Park, NY.

FDR's statements as literally 'cut in stone' are sadly unknown to Donald Trump. Our leadership has sunk so terribly far from Roosevelt's.

Comment on the photos; keep your personal politics out of it. If you want to complain about politics, go to the attic and rail there. This is not the place to do that.

Very good images. The trouble with this memorial is that not many people stop to read FDR's words. you did a good job of photographing them.

The message as seen within the photograph is subject to comment. That is part of the art of photography.

The comment was a generalized opinion connecting the present with the past as seen in the photograph. It is not a "rail". Your specific statement violates your own contention.

Carol, thanks for sharing these images with everyone. The last time we were in DC we visited all the memorials and were greatly surprised and impressed by this one. I agree everyone should visit and read many of his quotes.

A worthy memorial to a great American president. ‘Sic transit Gloria mundi’.

Walking through the memorial slowly and thoughtfully is very inspiring. His physical handicap and the difficult times he dealt with did not keep him down!

Excellent set Carol.

Thank you, Jim. It was overcast so the light wasn’t great and the water features weren’t active but I found plenty to enjoy and shoot.

And you are incorrect--sorry. The comment about the present had nothing to do with the photograph.

The quotations are very uplifting. They do apply to politics but also to the way each of us interacts with the rest of humanity.

Carol, a fantastic set and the "Quotations" are all fantastic. I agree with you that all the people who work in the goverment should read them.

Thank you, Greg. I was very moved as I read them knowing that Roosevelt dealt with very difficult times and his physical challenges. He seemed to rise above it all
