The weather is finally cooperating with my walks around my new neighborhood. This block in Berwyn has lines of unspoiled classic bungalows. Built around 1929. "There are more than 80,000 bungalows in Chicago, making up nearly a third of the city’s single-family housing stock, according to CBA. And many owners are keen on preserving their historic, iconic architecture" -- Chicago Bungalow Association.

Great shots, Michael! Key to many of the bungalows are the roof style, arches and multiple windows. Remember them well from my years living in the Chicago area. My former wife lived in such a home in Rodgers Park with her mother when I met her.

Nicely done. I suppose you can say these are the original track homes or cookie cutter houses 🏡.

Note that the two corner properties across the street from one another, are pretty much identical and have a side door that goes to the basement so that it could be rented as a separate living unit.

These homes sell for between $180,000 to $240,000 depending on condition and the interior updates.

We were guests in a home like this when we attended a classmate's wedding Sr. Year 1967.
