Caught them returning to the old Rock Island Depot here in Abilene, KS today. Might be one more run later this year, otherwise she will be put away until next year. She needs a bath!

You were close, Walschaerts valve gears according to Google. This must be why people are always saying "Google it".
The Walschaerts valve gear is a type of valve gear invented by Belgian railway mechanical engineer Egide Walschaerts in 1844 used to regulate the flow of steam to the pistons in steam engines.
Thanks all. I just find them & attempt to "shoot" them. Sadly some great steam engines I will never see for their location & mine do not correspond ....ce la ve. Glad to share with all.
