Just curious. Are any of you going to purchase the new iPhone 11, 11 Plus, or 11 Plus Max ? ?
If you are, is the new camera system any influence in your coming purchase?
I know many prefer other brands and their cameras, but this question is just about the Apple products.
(sorry for typo - Buying an iPhone ? ?)
I have an iPhone 7+; and I will not be upgrading.
I do take pictures with it, but my DSLR’s will be my “real” cameras for a while longer.

No plans to upgrade. No plans on using my IPhone 5S instead of my DSLR

I purchased an iPhone 8 a few months ago. I may purchase an iPhone 11 two years from now or four years from now.
Yes, I am influenced by the camera feature. Currently an iPhone 6 user it is time to upgrade the phone for a few reasons; camera being only one of the reasons. Apps on 11 will be faster, screen will be bigger, battery life will be longer, etc. The 6 still works fine, for 85% of my needs/use, but the 15% has me willing:
At Disney World, the App on the 6 is frustrating, as well as other apps I use regularly. The camera is an influencing bonus. Using Disney (vacation time) again as an example: the phone camera is more than adequate for snapshots (and Disney will take photos with a DSLR free all over all 4-parks)
When on vacation, I want to be a Tourist! When I carry DSLR, or Full Frame Mirrorless, Camera(s) I’m no longer on vacation… I’m working.
I NEED to separate work from Vacation time. And I do not need to print mural sized copies of my vacation.
It is still a pleasure to shoot with a Full Frame Body with real Glass, and revel in the quality and ability to use the results commercially. But it is equally a pleasure to carry an 8 oz point & shoot that makes phone calls, runs apps, surfs the WWW, tracks my family, gives me on-demand GPS directions, and a few thousand other options AND helps me be in vacation mode not work mode while still maintaining a full mobile office.
The iPhone is a complimentary device, not a replacement for full-frame with interchangeable glass. And when I send a picture (or video) of a 5-year-old gleefully interacting with Mickey… or other family members, no one cares if the photo came from an iPhone, a Sony A-7 or a Nikon 850; but I would regret missing that precious moment.
With an old iPhone 6s and a new grand daughter, the three lens iPhone 11 Pro with video makes it an easy decision for me. Also, Apple gives you interest-free payments and a trade-in ($100 off for me). Finally, on my dog walks alone, the sun rises, fresh flowers and bird launches are a bonus.

Totally agree with Jim and Mike - I have a 6s and it is time for an upgrade. It looks like they have put a lot of work into improving the cameras, so that is a factor in the decision. The new screens are brighter, the case is stainless steel, and OS is faster. Wireless charging is a bonus - the jack for charging collects dust and I have needed a replacement for that in the past. I will probably go with the 11 Pro because it is smaller than the 11 and it has the 3-camera system.
My concern is that the lenses of the cameras extend out a little bit from the camera body and I wonder if they will be susceptible to getting scratched in a pocket...
My iPhone SE's charging socket is malfunctioning so it's finally time to replace it. After all these years of owning various iPhones, I rarely have used them as a camera until recently. But I've been surprised at how good some of these photos look. As a retired photojournalist, I am now an active fine art photographer shooting with two Fuji XT bodies and nearly all the Fuji X lenses. But I have decided to order the iPhone 11 Pro and really use its camera system seriously. No, this won't replace my Fuji system, but I want to hone my iPhone camera skills to see just how good this camera can be. And I'm sure there will be certain instances where I'll be glad I have a halfway decent camera with me when my Fuji kit is not.

Loved your honest response and appreciation for the "now" photo using an iPhone. Thanks
I waited a month to order a phone without camera.

Yes.
I have already purchased iPhone 11 plus max. Will be delivered 1-4 Oct. Yes, camera features sound very intriguing and I use my phone camera a lot...don't always have my Nikon D850 with me.... The other major reason to purchase is my current I phone X locks up on me... occasionally I cant open for hours. Of course problems don’t exist when taking to Apple store. They have run test 6 ways to Sunday and can’t find a problem.
So now I set it to never go to sleep. It stays on 24 hrs a day.
Whenever I have problems with something I get something new. Except for a wife.
I'm holding off until Apple comes out with 5G phones. The major carriers are building the new wireless network that will be much faster and I want to be able to take advantage of it. The camera options don't really interest me all that much. I use my DSLR for everything but snapshots that I want to send to friends and family.
