Already do (live without fossil fuel) and have been for the last 10 years so I'm o.k. if all Saudi gasoline goes away. All it took was a 5 kW PV array on my roof and replacing gasoline powered vehicles and landscaping tools with electric and even with airline travel we're carbon negative. (i.e. produce more electricity than we consume so we're displacing fossil fuel powered utility power production with solar.) What does it take for the whole world to do it? Willingness to change.
Europe is looking to sell 1 million more electric vehicles in 2020 with some government incentives for buying electric. Just think if we did that too. The race would be on.

Understand that plastic, fabrics and many other things come from the same petroleum. I'll start another one for you. Energy can neither be created or destroyed. So the wind come from the west across say California and hits a windmill, no problem. Hits 100 windmills, no problem. 1,000 windmills- 10,000 wing mill no problem? At some point the wind that blows across America slows down and does not continue the the place it youse to go. We don't get a vacuum in that area but some air(weather) come in form some place. North, South, East or above air moving down. That is now changing the weather at that point. So we are changing the weather in the country, better or worse. But we are changing the worlds weather.

Of course, Europe gets almost 50% of its electricity from carbon sources (more once you take France out of the equation), so having an electric car is meaningless by itself.
In EU countries where coal is the generator of electricity they are doing more harm than having a gas engine!
Money is neither good nor bad, it's what you do to get it and what you do with it...

These were drone attacks. Many attacks according to the News. The Iranians use of drones are pinpoint. Advantage, no loss of life by Iranian jet pilots. After this setback, the Saudi's need to develop an air defense missile system. Because, this can happen again. The Iranian Embassy hostages crisis was 40 years ago. 1979 under President Jimmy Carter. And Iran is still causing troubles in the Middle East. America doesn't need Saudi oil anymore. Prices should remain stable in America. Hopefully? Politics is also a factor in these incidents.

I don’t know if missile defense can work against drones. I suppose it would depend on the drone size. Imagine when (not if) drones are used against targets here in the U.S. Say small size bombs with shrapnel and an inflammatory substance raining from above.

Why?
United States is completely oil independent now thanks to the current administration and we are now a major exporter as well. Just makes the middle east that much more irrelevant to the world.
Plus Trump has authorized hundreds of millions of our barrels of oil reserves to be released if needed.
Open the Texas wells back up, that should take care of it! But sadly we'll see high prices anyway they'll export the Texas oil!
If Saudi Arabia has a beef with Iran, they should finance and fight their own war. Instead of relying on the blood and sweat of American soldiers. Today, in Afghanistan, a soldier was killed. That makes 2400 killed there, since being there since late 2001. Even, all Muslims don't like one another. And, America is suppose to have the answer to those Muslim disagreements. Between the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars, America has given about 7,000 lives of our young soldiers and Marines. Not counting loss of limbs and minds destroyed. Tired of America being the World's policemen for other countries. And, many don't even like Americans.

Saudi oil? We care because our oil is basically bunker crude sludge that we suck out of rocks. It’s good for greasing u-joints, not for refining into gasoline.
If they can make gasoline out of coal, they can certainly make it out of fracking crude. Plus the abundant natural gas fracking produces.

Target the location of where the drones are bing deployed from.
