I have two of these, one about a foot above the other. We started with one baffle, which took care of the squirrels. However, we then had Raccoons that were climbing over the single baffle. (I set up a trail camera to figure that out.) Amazing critters. With the two baffles, however, problem solved! No squirrels and no raccoons! ๐๐ค๐
The baffle works for me. !@#$%^& squirrels!!
From experience, buy bird feeders that do not have a cable running thru into the feeder. With all the rain in Florida the water runs down cable into feeder. Resulting in wet seeds that "cake"!! Have re-engineered a few feeders as a result.

Those work well but I canโt use a bird feeder around here. They attract toooo many deer in our subdivision in town. After feeding on the seed they destroy all my flowers.... hostas to the bare ground... roses to the main stalk... pansies out of the pot... geraniums right of the front porch flower boxes... tulips all dug up and bulbs disappear. Try to use netting but the deer tangle themselves up in it. A never ending struggle

There is no such thing. Several squirrels, working in unison, can beat any feeder.
I mounted our feeder atop a 10' section of PVC pipe, placed out of jumping range from any trees. No grease, Armorall, nothing else. I did not see a squirrel in it all last winter, confirmed by how often I had to refill it as compared to the past.

My squirrels are geniuses! They can figure out how to conquer anything I put up.
