All my life and I am 60 now, I could never imagine NYC as a vacation destination until I had to go for a business meeting.

All I can is WOW, my perception was way off.
I decided to take my better half to see the big apple and see what it was all about and got some great shots.

We took the ferry to see the Lady, This is something I have always dreamed of.
For these shots we walked about 15 miles per day and really got to experience the city.

Hershel from B&H photo was kind enough to give us a tour of the store and behind the scenes, B&H is not at all a small operation, they are huge, the store is just the tip of the iceberg, they have my business.

Enjoy.

Never 'vacationed' there, because who'd vacation an easy train ride (or car drive) an hour or two away from home? but the occasional weekend stay now and then was always a treat. But yup, The City is great, and your images did it justice. Thanks for that. A second 'yup' goes to your actually going into B&H (and there's Adorama and/or a number of other similar places). I assume you now know --if you hadn't all along-- the difference between a real camera store and Walmart or a BestBuy or a K-Mart, right?

Hope you also shot some nighttime stuff too. If so, PLEASE post 'em!

My ex-husband and I visited NYC back in the early 80's. I loved it!!! My best memories were photographing (film) the stain glass windows at St Patrick's Cathedral and from the observation deck of the twin towers. The ex took most of my photos when we split and by the time I found out it was too late to get them back. I may not have the photos but I have the memories....I can still feel the wind and remember the clench of my stomach looking through the viewfinder from the top of the towers and thinking about how high up I was. It was awesome!!!

Thanks for sharing your photos!!!

Is a Canon 5D mk IV or a Nikon Z6 or a Sony A7R IV or any other camera, different, if purchased at Best Buy than if purchased at B&H? A retailer is a retailer. If I want to purchase a new camera body I'm going to go to the Best Buy, near my home, in northern Delaware. No sales tax and no shipping. I walk in, purchase and leave with new camera in hand.

There's another thread presently; a guy asking about what camera to buy and what the sales person at BestBuy was suggesting. You may have seen or read the thread; there were some really good replies. Bottom line is, you can make your purchase any place you like, it doesn't mean a thing to me. But if/when I want useful camera choice information, I'd rather speak with someone at a B&H sort of place than somewhere I can get sales 'advice' and pick up cat food all in one fell swoop. Lighten up.
