My father pulled me to the side during the reception after my wedding. He casually said, "You now have a clear choice with your wife. You can always be RIGHT or always be HAPPY. You must pick one. You can't have both."
Sometimes my wife and I would argue. My father would repeat what he said at my wedding reception. Over the years it had more impact each time. My father has passed away but that is one of the HAPPY memories I have with him.
The older I became, the wiser my father really was. LOL!
