Really , how can we answer that . Only I would know if I wanted to give a lens away . I’ll,be curious about the comments.
Use both of them for a while before you decide. One might not be in as good condition as the other. Assuming they're both in good shape, I would keep the 18-200mm. I used one for years, and it took good pictures and covered a good range.

I had a severe GAS attack when vising EBAY today. I found a good deal on a Nikon AF-S DX 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED VR II Lens so I bought it. A while later I found an even greater deal on a Nikon AF-S DX VR Zoom-Nikkor 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED so I bought it, too. These 2 lenses are sort of similar, so I'm wondering if I should give 1 of them away..........
Q1- Should I give 1 of the 2 lenses away?
Q2- If so, which should I KEEP: (a) the 18-200mm or (b) the 55-200mm.

By the way, is there a pill that will cure my GAS?

I still own the 18-200, it is my travel lens in the car on my D500.
If I were in your shoes I would keep the 18-200.
18-200, get rid of the 55-200, overlap is waste.

There is a pill for GAS. It is called Simethicone. LOL!
What keeps me from a GAS attack is my wife demanding my credit card!!
Of course you stick up for men everywhere and tell your wife to, pack up and move out.

Sometimes longer zoom range forces designer into more {bad} compromises. At one time I had an 18-270mm lens, but after some experience I went back to the two-lens solution that it replaced. In this case, I would still want more experience with the two lenses before making a decision.

Keep the 18-200. Great walking around lens.
Send me the 18x200 I’ll treasure it.

Or, since I appreciate my wife, I bought her a used camera body and gave her some of the lenses that I no longer use. She was delighted and my problem was solved. Plus she can also borrow any of mine periodically.
Best of both worlds!

I will gladly take the 18-200 off your hands
Stay in the mood - go buy a second body so you can use both, don't forget a bigger bag and a new tripod so you can carry all that stuff around. Don't stop there - you need polarizers for both and a couple of flashes. Have a ball - think of all the credit card points you will get!

You keep the better lens. If you want to give the 55-200 away I would be glad to have it and put it on my D5200 for my Son.
