The saga of Looie da Cat

There was an intense time at my work where I was only home for 30 hours in 30 days, so my wife seeking a little diversion and comfort adopted this kitty and named him "Looie". At the time we had two dogs and two other cats and Looie soon learned to respect older, larger animals but also to hold his ground and establish his place in the pecking order. He became the toughest cat ever, even taking out an agressive pitbull. We live in a residential urban area and a local young man (a punk) used to walk his pitbull (off leash and there are leash laws here) and let his dog poop on my grass yard. I asked this kid to please pick up his dog's poop and he told me to "bleep-off" and pick it up my self, after all it was my yard. Then the day came that this guy comes by and Looie is standing by and his pitbull decides to chase/attack Looie. Looie proceeded to cling on to this poor dogs muzzle and rake him from eyes to nose with his sharp claws. The dog ran back to his owner bleeding and crying up a storm. The owner, young punk, let forth a slew of profanity to make any salior blush. I calmly reminded him that that's why our city has leash laws for whimpy dogs and stupid owners to protect them from my biological home security systems like Looie. We never saw either the dog or the owner again. chase

I'm just sorry that I did not have any camera handy to record this.

good on you both! I had a friend , walking her very young pup, when a punk got out of his van, with a pitbull It attacked the pup, which was in my friends arns,... fortunately she was right outside a Vet surgery, and they fixed her pup. She had medical attention for her shredded arms...............the punk said. did nothing......drove off into the sunset!

Thanks for stopping by and takin' a look dancers, luvmypets. lovemypups and DebAnn along with your nice comments. Looie is gone now to the great catbox in the sky but his spirit lives on through his feisty replacement hetrochromic cat, "Jewell". chase
