Welcome everyone to the eleventh "No Host, Just Post, No Obligation Weekend"
Thank you Photogirl17 for hosting the Challenge: "Keep It In The Corners" Aug. 12-16. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the opportunity this week to work on this challenge. I had my 2 year old granddaughter all week, and she was a fun handful.
Our little town had some challenging weather around 1:00 am this morning. We were either hit with a microburst or very strong straight line winds, hail and about 4 inches of rain in as many hours. Some homes were damaged and several cars were crushed. So I’ll start this challenge off with a few pics of my three neighbors damage. And the last pic is all that we were fortunate to have incurred.
Every block in town has at least two or three trees down or broke, so as a community, this weekend we will all do what we can to help our neighbors. Chainsaws will be buzzin at daybreak. I more than likely won’t be around again this weekend.
We were told to expect more of the same weather tonight, so I’m going to start the weekend challenge off a little early, because we are notorious for loosing electrical power for many hours at a time and the storms are already closing in on our area.
Post whatever you like, but do keep in mind that this is a family friendly section.
Comments on submissions are welcomed but don't feel obligated to comment. Please don't be offended if your image doesn't receive any comments. Summer is a short and busy time of year for everyone, and not all have that much spare time.
Have a great weekend,
Johnna

This has been a challenging summer weather-wise for many people - so glad you sustained little damage - stay safe if you're hit again!

Thanks for getting us started, Johnna, and for sharing images of the wrath of Mother Nature.
I'm so glad you had minimal damage, and that you and yours are okay.

Good to see them enjoying themselves Tim, before the pressures of life weigh them down
