Hi there
Looking for a very good "bridge camera" suggestions considering:

Price
High resolution
1" sensor
Compactness
Image quality
Zoom lens at least 25X
and whatever else you deem important.

Last bridge camera I had was the Lumix FZ-35

Please be specific with brands and models.

Thanks for your help

I think there’s a bridge in Brooklyn we can recommend...
Seriously, log onto your computer, Google “best bridge cameras”, read the constantly changing output as to what cameras are available, use a spreadsheet app (or 3x5 cards) to create a list, compare features, think about what cameras have features that work best for you, your style of photography and your typical subject matter. Then pick one. If you ask twenty UHH members, you will get twenty well-intentioned, knowledgeable answers and end up doing the same thing. It’s a personal choice.

I would think the best bridge camera would have an APS-C sensor, not one of those tiny one inch sensors.
The best bridge camera I own is a Canon Power Shot G1X III.

Do you have a budget we need to consider, or are you willing to spend any amount?? Available $$$ may be a necessary starting point.

Best bridge camera is the Sony RX10M4 hands down. Nothing to dislike about it and the results are quite good. If you want something better, wait until Sony does the RX10M5.

There is no such thing as an all around always best for everything anything.....camera, or flash, or anything else. What is best in one regard will be less than best in another regard. The camera with the best sensor will be less than best size, and weight, wise. The camera which is best size, and weight wise will have a less than best lens selection, or sensor quality, or whatever. Bridge cameras are already a compromise, so you may as well be ready to make some other compromises as well. If you did find the all around always best for everything item today, it would be surpassed by a better item 3 months from now. My girlfriend likes her Nikon Coolpix B700 bridge camera. It was considered 'tops' by some when she bought it. A month later, Nikon brought out what she considers the better Coolpix P900.....which has since been eclipsed by the Coolpix P1000. Decide which features mean the most to you, and then decide what you can afford to spend to get them. Then decide which features you could do without in order to save some money. THEN get online, and check out Canon, Fuji, Nikon, etc, websites, and see which items give you the most of those features you want. Then shop for those model cameras at Adorama, BH photo Video, etc, and see which gives you your chosen model(s) at the best price. Some bridge cameras may allow you to shoot Panorama images....which you may love, or hate, or have no interest in. Other cameras will not have Panorama capability. How are we supposed to know which features you are willing / unwilling to pay for? I can't recommend a bridge camera, because I don't like them. I told you what my gf likes, and what she wishes she had instead of what she has. Beyond that, I can only encourage you to do your own research. Good luck.

While some UHH people love Bridge Cameras because they can be carried in your pants to fool the ladies... [into thinking you have a DSLR] well other than that I can not understand why one would choose a bridge over a Compact Superzoom.

Ice cream classically was vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry... three... Compact 1" sensor Superzooms come in three flavors all of which have their virtues... Sony, Panasonic, and Canon.

Having a camera with you 24/7 provides you with the shoot from the hip capturing the of the moment photo. Also, these cameras have modern complex modes available such as multi-focus, 4k video frame capture, and of course all the typical DSLR tricks.

Consider the Canon SX70 or the Nikon B700. Both shoot raw, light weight

Everything except 25X https://www.kenrockwell.com/sony/rx100-vii.htm
I'm a Canon guy, but this is the ONLY bridge camera that I would consider.

I don’t think you’re gonna find an APS-C sensor with a 25x zoom.

I purchased the Sony RX10 IV in August 2017. I've not touched my two Canon DSLR cameras since then. Most agree that it is the number 1 bridge camera available.

Compact superzooms ARE bridge cameras.

I like the Nikon P900 and its extreme zoom. There's also the newer P1000.
