Going mirrorless

I've decided to sell all my Nikon to KEH except for my D850 and 5 prime lenses. And will get the Sony A7iii and a couple of primes. I'm thinking of trying the system for a few months and then just sell off the rest of my Nikons and spend that on more glass. At 72 I just feel this is the way to go. And I believe that mirrorless is the foreseeable future. Plus my Granddaughter is using mirrorless and she wants nothing to do with DSLRs. I'm sure I will be taking a loss as opposed to selling private but I've got 30 something items and I just don't look forward to selling private from past experience. Does anyone have experience dealing with KEH? They seem like a good company to deal with

Why not just adapt your existing glass?

I have bought some flash units from KEH and they work fine. BnH sells adaptors so you can still use your lenses.

I've decided to sell all my Nikon to KEH except fo... (show quote)

I had a collection of Canon FD lenses and decided to convert to the EF mount system. I was very happy dealing with KEH. I waited until they had an event near me and negotiated in person. Before I did that, by the way, I posted what I had here at UHH and sold a few of the items to UHH members. That worked out very well, too.

I'm thinking about doing the same thing when the a7RIV comes out so please convince me that selling my 4 nikon bodies (2 FX and 2 DX) and over a dozen lenses and flash equipment and buy Sony will make me a better photographer. Also, convince me that Nikon won't be coming out with a 60mp camera to compete with the Sony as the buyers remorse will destroy me.

Get the z7 and use your existing glass.
You'll also find the f4 to be very light and sharp

If you need others to convince you, don't do it.

Wait until you "know" it is right for you, then jump in with both feet.

KEH is one of several dealers who buy used photo equipment. So do Roberts Camera and B&H. Based on personal experience, I would not recommend offering to Adorama., though others may have had different experiences.

I was very unhappy with Adorama when attempting to sell something.

I just received a check from KEH today 3 business days after accepting their offer. The actual offer was higher than their original estimate.
