At times I post late in the evening and they don't show up the following day. Please excuse me if this shows up later.
This is another of the beetles that our good friend Bill had sent to me. Its antenna remind me of bicycle handlebars. When viewed under magnification it's quite furry although when looked at with the regular eye it appears to be smooth.
I don't know what type of beetle this is other than quite cute.
Sometimes it helps in identification to give the size of the critter and where found, ie, in the lawn on a specific type of bush, a specific type of tree, in Brazil, or the Mojave Desert. Just thinkin'. I don't have a clue what you have other than it is an insect. Hopefully an etymologist will see this and give you an answer.
Marvelous image and, a beauty of a bug!!
Really clean and crisp stack.
