I recently purchased a D750 for my daughter and would like to get an informational supplement to the owner’s manual.
Anyone have a manual to recommend (or to avoid)?
Thank you for any help.
Matt

I have David Busch's "Nikon D750 Fast Track Guide". This is the new version with his new publisher. I haven't read it cover to cover but use it to reference features I'm trying to learn or something I've forgotten.

I have David Busch's book for the D7000 and liked it so when I got the 750 I wanted his book. It wasn't in print at that time because he was changing publishers but when the new version came out I ordered it from Amazon.

I hope your daughter enjoys her 750.

I don't have a book to recommend but I have a tip. The movie record button can be re-programmed to set the ISO and other functions. I don't shoot video with my D750 so I re-programmed mine. If your daughter doesn't shoot video, she may want to re-program it. Nikon has an ISO button behind the shutter button in their latest cameras. It's convenient to have it there because ISO is something that gets changed a lot.

Try using the auto-ISO setting. It's very convenient.

I know this is not a book, but Creative Live has a "Fast Start" class for your camera and it is currently on sale for $11.00, which is less than a lot of books I own. John Greengo does an excellent job of explaining the camera while demonstrating on the camera. I have his classes for my Nikon and Fuji cameras and use them often if I just can't remember how to do something. If she is a visual learner, this is not a bad way to go. He also provides printable handouts for the class.
