This is an unprocessed image of the beautiful "Oak Alley Plantation" south of New Orleans. Download the image and edit in any way you wish. Then submit your result to this thread. You may post a maximum of two edits. Entries will be accepted until 7 pm EDT, Thursday. Voting will run from Thursday evening until Sunday evening. The winner will host the following week's challenge. Have fun! Sorry for the small file, I had to dummy it down to get it uploaded. Almost Heaven WV is not a great place for internet. Tried 12 times to upload before it finally made it to 100 %.

I was going for a very lush green and somewhat oversaturated entrance path to the house. I cropped it a bit and removed the people because they were a distraction. I made separate adjustments to the grass, trees and the house itself. All done in DXO PhotoLab Elite. It doesn't support layers, but has flexible local adjustment features. My second image is significantly more cropped to make the house a more prominent element, and to better show the tangled tree branches.

As soon as I saw this photo I thought what a great place to have a wedding. About the time I had the picture done I was got concerned with the amount of color swing I made so I looked it up on line for other pictures of the Oak Alley Plantation. Soon as I did I saw a picture with a bride and groom, surprise. I mention this because I did the picture before I found out it can be used for weddings and not a copied idea.
My final bride and groom was downloaded form Pixel and then put together using Photoshop CC. Final count 14 layers.😳

As always Download page shows much better image.

I was going to give my old eyes a rest this week until I saw the image. It looked like too much of a challenge to walk away from.

As always please view the download version.

a different point of view - changed the crop (cropped from the right to "change the angle of view" to focus more on the trees on the left where I enhanced the lighting and the texture of the tree trunks. also removed the people at the front door of the building.

I fooled around with this picture for a while to try and get an interesting composition. After that I fooled around some more with the color and contrast. I was never really happy with the blown out sidewalk and grass. Kinda by accident I turned up the "Peripheral Lighting" in Photoshop and switched the whole thing to black and white. While it's not a true rendering of the subject I hope you find it interesting at least. Viewing the "Download" makes a big difference. I removed the person in front of the front door ...., hope they weren't relatives!

This is my take. A little crop, a little sky and a look.
