I have to make a correction before I post these. Yesterday I posted some of the King skimmers and had an immature male Slaty Skimmer labeled as a female. They both look exactly the same except for the terminal appendages. I just wasn't thinking. Anyway, here are a few of the dragons and damsels from that survey. Nothing really exciting but I thought you might enjoy them.
Now my disclaimer for some of these shots: Halloween Pennants - a breeze came up and the were on flimsy awns and they were in focus, out of focus and out of frame. Best I could get. Carolina Saddlebags was 15 feet away and it was really just a record shot for the survey. Enjoy. I'm not going out today, tomorrow or Sunday. Crazy heat! Everyone be safe.

Excellent set, Doc.
Hi Earl. Thanks for looking in at the last of my offerings from this survey. As I was saying, we could use some of whatever weather you are having. Tomorrow and Sunday the heat index will be at least 110ยบ.

#5 with its prey is really nice. All are very good. Great job, Doc.

Thanks Sylvia. They are beautiful damsels especially the southern species that have all black wings. I got one of those backpacks with a water bladder for a survey in Vermont. Watch it will be 75 degrees when I go up there.

More of your outstanding work, Doc!

Thanks Vic but you've got some great dragons out there that I've not had the pleasure to shoot too. The Dancer is beautiful but the sub-species in Florida is even prettier. I'll send you shot of one if I can find it.
