Lots of evergreens in Maine so I’m not sure what foliage you will find (we are in Rockport at the moment). If you like lighthouses, just locate on a Maine map - no private property issues. I recommend a short drive down to Penobscot to get a shot of that lighthouse from down on the waterfront. As mentioned, Camden has everything for a photographer - great street shots, wonderful harbor. In re lobster rolls, you can explore the difference between Maine style and Connecticut style.

Dice Head Light is private property, pathway around it though. - best to check first.

The Camden harbor is also scenic and the Camden Hills State Park is nice with good views. Eat a lobstah for me!

Pemaquid Light. Quoddy Head Light (red and white stripes) in Lubec if you feel like venturing a little further afield. Samoset resort. Primo restaurant is fabulously good, but expensive. Owl’s Head Light. Pretty much, whenever you step out the door, you’ve got a photo op! Do be prepared for chilly nights, fog, and bluebird days! If you’re flying in to Portland, take in the Portland Head Light on Cape Elizabeth. Stop at the Cookie Jar for great coffee and baked goods. Enjoy! You’re in for a great adventure in a photorich state.

Hello fellow Hoggers. I am spending a few days in Rockport Maine October 13-15. If the foliage is still up, any suggestions of places to shoot. Water views also, as Im concerned Im going to run into a lot of private property B&B's or hotels that don't want you shooting on their property. (Understandable). I don't want to waste my limited time driving around aimlessly, since Ive never been up there before. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance for any replies. Andy

Camden harbor, up to Lincolnville, check out the new bridge, try an afternoon schooner cruise, Owls Head, Mount Battie, lots of stuff.

I visited friends in China, Maine in 2005 and they drove me all over that area. Rockport was one of the locations we went to and my pictures are in this Album: https://www.flickr.com/photos/8712554@N02/sets/72157631966158254/.

Gloucester, MA (The Perfect Storm) is a short drive to the south. Rocky Neck Art Colony on Eastern Point is worth a visit. Continue to the end of Eastern Point to the jetty. Can walk out a considerable distance at low tide. Many photo-worth spots along Atlantic Avenue.

Are we mixing up Rockport Maine with Rockport Massachusetts again?

That's odd. My albums all should be viewable by the Public.

Is anyone else having difficulties?

I visited Bar Harbor in 2011, and my photos are here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/8712554@N02/sets/72157627442365941/. (Are you able to view these?)

Found the problem, you must be logged into Flickr to view, my auto login was not working , they seemed to have changed stuff, I do not visit as much as there is a limit on posts now.

Could be. I am congenitally lacking a sense of direction and/or geography.
