It's amazing how there is alway someone who doubts the validity of any major discovery or breakthrough. What an achievement this was I remember sitting with my wife, three year old son and one year old daughter early in the morning watching a black and white TV holding our breath whilst the LEM was landing. Three exceptional brave men who knew if anything went wrong there was no returning. That was when America was Exceptionally Great.

Sure, but then there's also photoshop which might be responsible for the "sightings".

However, the Mars Rover caught an interesting photograph a while ago. That's got to be real.

When people start using words/phrases like; might be, there is a possibility, there could be, it has been reported. You just move on. They are not speaking from a factual knowledge of.... They are trying to entice you to think they are being truthfully or know what they are talking about.

Kubrick did shoot the moon landing for NASA. But he was such a perfectionist he made 'em do it on location.

Actually, the best evidence that we went to the moon are the laser reflectors we left behind. Any observatory with the proper equipment can get a drastically higher reflection reading by pointing a laser at the locations of the reflectors. (That was just one segment of an interesting show that Mythbusters did on the whole fake landing theory.)

That camera has a thermal suit of it;s own.
Ask Stanley ....

Tried, but unfortunately he seems to be dead.

The answer is yes. I was part of a NASA support team that helped design purpose-built TV devices and circuitry that we tested at extreme temps, film that survived operating in a vacuum, and rough and tumble vibration on the way.

So, why aren't those available for the average consumer nowadays ?
In 1969 TV sets were still full of electronic tubes. My camera starts
to heat at @40ยบ C and my 1996 all-tube Peavey Bravo 112 amp can
not stand to much vibration on an unstable stage...
Nice work you did back then.

I had a neighbor who actually believed that. He also thought the world was flat, AND the center of the universe, AND only 5000 years old.

PBS has been running all sorts of retrospective documentaries on space this week. I've watched them all, reliving that moment in 1969 (not 2069... typos forgiven) in my parents' living room, watching it all unfold.

Harry, the earth can't be flat. If it were, cats would push everything off the edge.
