The ship was moving all right but I was standing on the dock.

Richard - shot 100 pics, on my walk, yesterday - a dozen with the T4i, 20 with the D5500, and 70 with the a77 II … will try to get at least one up from each group. First one, here - is with the T4i … others will follow:

No, it doesn't.
Dial up works both ways. If you can't upload then you can't download either. Yet you are looking at lots of other people's images all of the time so it's obvious you can download.
