I was a cop back before all the PC crap. How times have changed!

It's changed because we have allowed it to. We have no one to blame but ourselves.

Had I been the manager of that Starbucks I would have personally shown the customer where the door was and explained that if he used it he could alleviate his anxiety. As it actually happened what a bunch of BS!

I have seen policy objectives that were so dry cut that when a emotional person reacts to a home problem and over reacts to aemployee at work, they are called "being harass full" and certainly nothing happened. The upset person should have just gone home, they were not fit to work that day. But because the policy was to protect the company, they followed through and wrote the person up, after convincing the woman to go to HR. It was chilling and ten years ago it wouldn't have happened. Now it's not just being afraid of being sued but being afraid of public media, a double threat.

The other day a Starbucks employee asked a policeman to leave because "one person" in the store felt uncomfortable with him in there. They said they needed more space! This is silly, and there was lots of space outside if that person felt that way. So Starbucks has gone this route of beckoning to every nut out there. As for me, I've never run into a bad cop and feel grateful for their service as I do our military.

They'd certainly want a policeman there ASAP if THEY were in danger. What kind of wimps are the past few generations raising?

I normally agree with you, and I started to indicate that until I remembered one incident I had with an Ohio State Trooper a long time ago. All I remember was his name was Bob. I was driving an 18 wheeler hauling US Mail from Cincinnati, OH to Detroit, MI one evening and as I passed the rest area on I-75 at Piquq, OH I noticed a State Trooper come out of the rest area behind me with his lights on, so I pulled over on the shoulder. When he got to my window he said I pulled you over because when you went by the rest area I clocked you at 74mph. I actually jumped in my seat because I was shocked. I looked down at him and said,"officer, this truck has a 60mph governor on it". His response word for word is as follows. "I don't want to hear any of your f-----g problems with your equipment. Get your papers and log book and come back to my cruiser". Only law enforcement person I have ever been worried about! I got a damn ticket. The following day my company took my truck to the Peterbilt Truck Company and had it tested on a Ohio State Certified dynamo-meter. It showed that my truck would do 60.7mph maximum. Great, I'm going to court with this turd in front of a judge. When I was called into the Judge's Court room I was greeted by the Judge and the State Trooper who was already seated at his table. That gave me a bad feeling right away. The Judge asked how I pleaded, and I said "innocent Your Honor, and I have a certified test form that I would like you to see". The Judge said, "My officer clocked you on the highway, not a machine. Your fine is $84.00 and you can pay it downstairs". This was about 35 years ago, and back then I was a young father who needed that money for my family. When I paid the lady downstairs at the court building in Troy, OH I told her to tell the Judge that I hoped that he choked on it and walked out. That was the only bad experience I have ever had was any law enforcement officer. It did put a really bad taste in my mouth for that particular trooper though. If I wouldn't have had to take so much time off work I would have demanded a jury trial against both of those S.O.B.s.

I can only mirror the view that this skit is too close to the alternative truth BS so popular these days. With the advent of personal I-pads etc, it will only get worse. I'm afraid.

This would be funny if there weren't so many things today similar to this going on.

You know I don't think Democrats are the main problem. There are "Radical Liberals" that are just against anything that does not agree with their agenda. There are problems much greater than them though. I ran across something that shocked me the other night that I wanted to post in this section but I was hesitant to do so because of negative feedback; however it keeps bothering me a lot. I hope it isn't just a silly conspiracy theory, but if this is true it is very bad for Our Country, because, as you will see, the things that are brought to the surface in this video are already happening. Something purely evil is tearing Our Country apart, and We need to come together to stop it. Please watch and listen closely to what is said in the video. If you think I am nuts I won't mention it again. Please listen to it.

It was 6 police officers who were there prior to going to work. Note; Starbucks policy is to not Comp coffee for officers.

Forgot to add, I know the feeling when a police car falls in behind you and I’m a retired officer. Normal feeling even though you think you’ve done nothing wrong. :)
