I need to make a presentation using digital photos. In the past, I would use Powerpoint. Any suggestions of other presentation programs?

I'm assuming this is to be a presentation rather than just a slideshow so you will want to control the changing of images rather than just have them change at regular intervals. If you have Powerpoint, that works well for this purpose. If not, I think there's a Powerpoint type program in Libre Office but I have never tried it.
In Windows IrfanView could work. Pressing the space key will change to the next image in the folder and the backspace key goes back. Haven't tried it with a remote USB control, but those work with Powerpoint. I think FastStone will do something similar.
Personally, I would stick with Powerpoint.
I use Pinnacle Studio and like it but if you know Powerpoint, I would stick with it because it is a great program and ideal for presentations.
Open Office and Libre Office have a presentation module similar to Microsoft Office's Powerpoint. Both are free.
Do you mean like a slide show, or would you have slides with just text. ProShow Gold is a very good slide program.

Libre Office has a good presentation feature. It is easy to use. I like the fact you can just hit the spacebar and it will go to the next slide.

What is it that Powerpoint lacks for you?
The best slide presentation software uses a video timeline, so in essence you are making a video that shows still images. I like the ProShow products. Easy to learn, even easier to master. Just about everything you'd want to do with a slide presentation you can do with these programs.
I did this with about 30 mins experience with the program.

Mac or Windows?
Presentation style — Academic Lecture? Process or Product Demonstration? Ted Talk? Sales Promotion? Travelogue? Photo Art Show?
Audience size? Venue size? Lighting conditions? Sound Reinforcement? Projection Support?
Without knowing more, it is difficult to name a specific program.
There is nothing wrong with using PowerPoint, so long as you DO NOT project that stupid outline of text that it encourages people to use. (That's a useful planning tool, and might be useful on the "notes" monitor that YOU see, but your audience should almost never see it.)
As a side comment, I would encourage you to read
The Presentation Secrets of Steve Jobs by Carmine Gallo. It is a must read for presenters of all stripes.
If you are using a MacBook Pro or Air, Keynote is already on your machine, and is a very decent choice. An alternative on the Mac is the shareware program, Graphic Converter 10 ($40), which has a simple built-in slide show feature.
If you just want razzle-dazzle, and you're using a Windows machine, ProShow Gold is a good choice. However, I'd avoid that if your presentation contains real substance.
In the past, I have used Powerpoint to make a presentation. Don't have that program anymore. Looking for an easy way I can copy photos onto software program and view on TV.

Apple has a great free program entitled "Keynote" that works only on their products.
I need a Windows10 product.
Libre Office has a Powerpoint clone that should do what you want. Good luck
Google Drive has google slides. It is all browser based. I don't know how you view on your TV. A lot of TVs will let you put in a USB drive and it will show all the images from a folder on the drive.
