Milky Way over Cabazon

We did an all-nighter July 2-3 at Cabazon Peak, NM to shoot some milky way pictures. It was cloudy when we got there but it cleared up at night for the Milky Way shots. Equipment for the Milky Way shots was a Canon 6D with a Rokinon 14mm sitting atop an iOptron Start Guider pro on a Sirui Tripod for longer exposures. Here are a couple shots, including one right at sunset just to show what Cabazon Peak looks like in daylight. I'm still learning to use the Star Guider Pro but having lots of fun in the process.

Great capture. On my learning curve also photographing the MilkyWay. Last image is OUTSTANDING.
I will need to travel to Indiana to get dark skies to do my all nighter

They're all great, but like others said the last one is my favorite. Thanks for sharing them!

Thanks very much. That last image came about after I spotted what I thought was an old cattle corral and wind mill on Google Earth. It was something that was not visible from the main dirt road that you take to get to the Peak. I was zooming in on Google Earth and happened to spot that about 1/4 - 1/2 mile off the road, so decided I'd try to see if I could find it get some images with that windmill and the peak in the background. Here's a picture of the location in daylight with a less wide angle lens. By the way, an App I really recommend is called simpley "Dark Sky" App which helps you locate dark sky areas.
