I beg to differ. As one responder wrote, you apparently didn't attend many Frat parties in college. Also I have it on good authority, from a man who was a POW during WWII, the ignition of flatus (farts) was a source of entertainment for the POWs while incarcerated.
Also I witnessed numerouis military serviceMEN doing the same while I was in the military.

I know few red blooded guys that have not lit a fart. Mojo Nixon has a song in that honor. Frank Zappa brings it up in the Real Frank Zappa book.
