Sandhill Cranes from the Bosque del Apache NWR, New Mexico

These were all taken as the flock of cranes arose in the early morning in November. Nikon D700, 300/2.8G VR II, TC-1.4 II (for some).

Nice series of five images... except for image #1 which is absolutely, stupendously, incontrovertibly
mag-damned-nificent!

I’ve spent several visits at Bosque making what i consider some commendable C.I.F. (crane in flight) images...but none can touch the level of excellence you have attained with #1 ! It blows me away!

Thanks so much! The 300/2.8 is a beast and I have recently obtained the 500/5.6PF which is about the size of a 200/2.8 and totally sharp wide open. Highly recommended for the Nikon shooter.
