That is so cool!
Did you see the cone from the sonic boom about 1:02?
(Don't blink!)

I saw several actually and I could even here the camera shutters clicking despite the noise for the jets.

They don't look too big on videos ...
But in person some of these fighters are pretty big.
It's amazing how much the man and machine can do.

Doesn't that kind of flying in an urban area strike people as irresponsible? In San Francisco we get the Blue Angels during Fleet Week, but they don't fly anywhere near that low.

This is not a Health and Safety video John. Are you thinking this is in anyway illegal??????Maybe some drugged up teenager stole the plane and went on the rampage fo a an hour or two eh??I'm sure everything was in order or we would have heard about it before now.

They don't ever say where this was happening, but I'll bet it's not in the USA, because a lot of that would be illegal here, and the US military wouldn't put civilians at risk like that.

Around the 3:30 mark, a jet is flying right to left and climbs to the top left corner of the screen towards the Hyperhead logo. Just as it "hits" the logo, the pilot does a roll as if the logo caused it. Maybe it's just me, but I found it amusing.

Since the Italian Team disaster at Ramstein in 1988 a lot of the close flying over civilian/spectator stuff is verbotten, but I would imagine every country has it's own rules. I'm a big fan, and worked on a lot of our combat jet aircraft, but flying in that close is dangerous. Our military a\c are fabulous, but failures do happen, and it ain't pretty when they fail.

It's really exciting flying low and fast like that, because at high altitude one cannot tell the difference between 100 and 500 MPH without looking at the airspeed indicator! The video was a conglomerate of shows, some ostensibly in Europe. The beach scenes looked like Pensacola, home base of the Blue Angels.

One of our USAF jets from RAF Lakenheath buzzed a local cricket match and got highly reprimanded in the early 1960s. A British RAF pilot buzzed our flightline upside down and dropped Christmas greetings to us. I still have it in my scrapbook.

Several times while visiting Death Valley I have been lucky to catch the F-18's or F-15's in the Star Wars Canyon. They do barrel rolls thru the canyon as your looking down at them. It is a thrill.

Here are a few of the many photos I've taken over the years. You have to be fast or they are gone. All except the first shot are looking down at them.

The video is not of US Blue Angels. Most were Russian jets flying where the folks speak Russian...watch the video again and you will clearly hear Russian words spoken. In two of the clips, you can clearly see soldiers in Russian uniforms. Low altitude flights by the Blue Angels are conducted over water, and not over populated urban areas. Also, several of the aircraft are Soviet era types.
