Located on the Trondheim Fjord, this city dates back to the 11th century and is the 4th largest urban area in Norway. In the center of town is the Gothic Nidaros Cathedral with the Bishops Palace and a museum adjacent. 200K gets you a ticket for all three, however no photography of any kind is permitted in the Cathedral. There is a beautiful walking path down by the river which takes you to the old bridge the Gamie Bybroa which will take you to the Old Town (Bakklandet) where you can visit lovely old colorful wooden houses and stroll along cobbled street, stop for lunch , coffee , pastries, a glass of wine orange beer. Time sort of stands still there.

As soon as I saw that you posted pictures of Trondheim, I was hooked. The series that you posted is very nice and brings back fond memories. In December of 2017, I boarded a Hurtigruten ferry in Bergen, Norway, and road it to the top of Norway (Nordkapp) and back to Bergen on a 12-day journey. Trondheim was one of our stops and I had the opportunity to photograph Nidaros Cathedral at night. At that time of the year, everything is photographed at night. It was my hope to see the Northern Lights and I did but the ones I saw were disappointing. I've included my photograph of the cathedral. It was taken handheld with an Olympus OMD E-10 using what Olympus calls their Hand-Held Starlight mode. Nikon and Canon have similar modes but I have found the Olympus to be the most effective. Thanks for sharing your images of Trondheim.
