The democrats who enslaved his ancestors are not the dems of today. People really need to read the history of the country and stop thinking what they learned in 8th grade history class is all there is. Although I hear that US history isn't even taught anymore.

Amy will you also be telling us that the Democrats who did not want the Civil Rights bill to pass were really the Republicans of the Civil War. I see no change in the Southern Democrat slave owners of 1860 to the Democrats of 1960 or even today. They have in the aces past, just as today, kept blacks on the Democratic plantation with promises of better things to come if only blacks vote Democratic. But those better things have never materialized.
The very worst President for blacks was Barack Obama. The very best is Donald Trump. That is the truth. Democrats are still racist from over 150 years ago.
