Am presenting some talks at a conference in Loyola, Spain. Loyola is the birthplace of St. Ignatius of Loyola, founder, along with eight companions, or the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits). This is my first trip to Spain.

Loyola is in the Basque region of Spain. Near the French border. Exquisite landscape though very hilly. Apparently a lot of very gray weather with mist and rain. Describes what it has been like since arrival yesterday. Conference began this evening. Have had a good amount of time to shoot and edit.

The basilica was built in the 18th century (1738).

Am pressed for time at the conference. Getting ready for the first of two presentations. Thanks for the comments and for looking. Never been here before. It has been a revelation. After the conference ends I will go over to Ljubljana to see friends and to shoot as much as possible. Will post more from here later. Have about four hours before the talk. If I ain't ready now I ain't never gonna be ready. Time to relax.

yeah right! the Baroque was short on ornamentation, as was Rococo . When Bauhaus came along, then things started t get interesting! LOL
