My wife and I dad a Viking River Cruise, Amsterdam to Budapest. Fantastic trip! I used a Sony a6500 with a Sony/Zeiss 16-70 zoom, which was adequate for just about everything. I did have the 55-210, but never used it.
Very nice series. We took our first cruise (of any type) last summer on Viking Ocean and it was wonderful; we booked another one for 2020 while on our cruise. We are interested in a Viking River cruise and will follow along with yours; thanks for sharing.
I use an a6000 for a lightweight small travel camera. The pictures are sharp, color very good. I have only used it 3 or 4 times. Last year, after buying it, I took it bicycling in Europe. It started well, but eventually started changing exposure settings without being told. Sometimes I had to reset 3,4,5 times before the manually set exposure would hold long enough to take the picture I envisioned. I took the camera in for repair and after the camera salesperson told me I was an idiot and it was all me, Sony replaced all the electronics under guarantee. I am now in Ireland and about a thousand shots in the camera does not want to “playback” the shots I took during the day. This is temporary. If I hang in there and play with it eventually it will go back. Eventually it will start to properly work, as well. Another problem has arisen in that it does not want to erase pictures I don’t want to keep. This, too, seems to eventually correct itself. All this seems illogical. Anyone with an a series have an idea what is going on here?
