That *is* close, isn't it. And with just a little tuning, the colors of each could be turned into the colors of the other.

It is indeed, so I may not need another one, while I already have the 850nm (B&W); 720nm; 680nm. plus this fake IR (25A) filter. I have enough tool to mess around!

Particularly if you spend a little time learning and mastering the software -- you can make just about any wavelength into any other: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvVZLGg0LC8

Here's another 590nm picture. The American midwest tends to be red, white, and blue anyway! Again, minimal post processing.

And a similar picture -- same scene -- toned down a little.

I think I do, too.

Here are colors I didn't expect -- in the reflection. Water is weird in IR.

The 590nm camera, though its zen is a little different from that of the 720nm one, is starting to be a lot of fun. Here, I took white balance off the sidewalk (I didn't have a gray card with me and I wanted to find out, anyway, if it would work) and was surprised at how close everything except the foliage is to its visual light coloration. Yes, I know that 590 includes some visual light, but I also know that I swapped channels with this -- try *that* with a white light picture!

I used to shoot a lot of IR B&W film in 35mm and 4x5, but I didn't like color IR film because it was just too far out with the red skies. Now I love digital color IR largely because of the channel swap. It gives you surreal colors but with the blue skies to have some basis in reality.

And the buildings in this case are fairly close to their white-light brick red.

Wow! I love it! Taking WB off the concrete side walk? Grey color, right? Okay, I will try that with my Red25A, let see if I can get the same result, other wise 590nm will be my next purchasing.

You might also try WB off sunlit green grass. That is the classic technique for digital IR color.

It's funny to call a 25A "fake IR". That was the filter most commonly used for IR film.
