I liked the view, since there were enough clouds to make the scene interesting. At least it was for me.

Subtle, under-stated, restful. I like this a lot, Frank. IMO having the horizon line in the middle adds to the sense of serenity.

(horizon does appear to be leaning a tiny bit, could be due to one of the elements along the line.)

Thanks, glad you like it. That was what I was going for. I will have to check out the horizon. If it is off, it would be my first time. Yeah Right.

A serene scene. Did you have a purpose in mind for the colors to be warmed and saturated so much?

I did purposely warm it up. The base shot was very blue. I wanted to tone that down. To my eye it doesn't look over saturated. But that could be the monitor.

Thanks, I was out to shooting birds. After I was done, I changed lenses. I wanted to capture a serene view of the area. It is a place were the look is always changing.

On my screen the saturation's strong but not excessive. However, it is a little on the dark side and has a slightly magenta cast.

Thanks for giving me your take on it. It appears different viewers are getting a different spectrum of tones and colors when viewing. I may have to print this one to see if there is still another range of tones that will show up.

Very nice. I particularly like what happens below the horizon. You think cropping part of the sky would destroy the serenity factor?

Thanks for viewing and commenting. I like cloud formations, and that is what originally drew me to the scene. So I really didn’t think of cropping the sky. I thought it helped with the “vastness” of the scene. Cropping it for me would change that view.

You have some nice reflections here and you put the horizon low in the frame which emphasizes the sky. Well done.

Thanks Erich. The water was very calm and its cooperation was appreciated.
