I have no idea if it gives anyone cause for concern but I wait to talk to a person and then tell him/her that s/he is committing a felony of wire fraud under 18 USC 1343 and conspiracy and subject to criminal penalties including prison and fines. In addition, they personally are committing these crimes and not just their employer. I've actually never gotten the whole speech completed as they always hang up. I like thinking maybe they lose a minuet of sleep.

They have called from two different numbers, and I told my call blocker to block each, but they can just keep getting new numbers.

I get this Soc Sec scam call sometimes several times a week. I don’t respond because to do so confirms our phone number is alive & well. Quite a while ago, I copied SS numbers from the death index of dead people of my first name or last name initial for use with scammers. But I have lost that list, its somewhere among my papers, so the idea goes for nought. Sigh.

Got the same call too... didn't answer it since I didn't recognize the number. Surprised they left a message though. Most scam calls like this that I have received always disconnect before it even gets to the answering machine. Guess they are hoping that someone will call back.

I do not answer calls from numbers I do not recognize. If a caller spoofs my caller ID, and poses as someone I know, and I answer it, I hang up as soon as I realize the caller is not who the ID claimed it was. If someone claims to be my bank, Social Security, The VA, etc, and then starts asking me for info that agency has-my SSAN, my DOB, my checking account #, etc-I hang up. If the caller claims to be SS, the VA, IRS, etc, and wants to talk to me about a problem, I tell them to make me an appointment, and I will come into the office. If the caller declines that offer, I hang up. If a caller threatens me with arrest, audit, etc, I tell him to call my lawyer. Then I hang up. I do not get phone scammed. I wonder why. Hahahaha!

I suggest they assume an impossible sexual position.
